JAFARABAD: On the special directions of Jafarabad Deputy Commissioner Khalid Khan, Assistant Commissioner Jhat Pat Dhiraj Kalra made a surprise visit to several petrol pumps in Dera Allahyar city. He closely checked the quality and quantity of the petrol, measuring instruments, digital gauges and the official rates.

Irregularities and violations of government orders were found at some petrol pumps. Action was taken against the management concerned and fines were imposed.

Strict directions to petrol pump owners

Assistant Commissioner Dhiraj Kalra strictly directed petrol pump owners to ensure that the public gets good-quality petrol in the correct quantity at the official rates. He told them to avoid short measures, overcharging and other illegal practices.

He made it clear that legal action would be taken, without discrimination, against those who fleece the public and violate government orders.

The district administration is active in giving relief to the public, preventing illegal profiteering and ensuring that official rates are followed. The checking of petrol pumps and other business centres across the city, and action against violations, will continue without a break.
