Pishukan link road tender to be issued next week, meeting in Gwadar decides

GWADAR: A meeting on development projects was held under the chairmanship of MPA Gwadar Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman and Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) Director General Moin-ur-Rehman Khan. It reviewed in detail the Pishukan Link Road, the construction of a bridge on the Sarbandar Link Road, and the construction and repair of the road on Marine Drive between Ankara Core and Shabi.

GDA Chief Engineer Haji Syed Muhammad, Superintending Engineer (Roads) Nadir Baloch, Assistant Engineer Zakir Noor and Personal Assistant to the MPA Waseem Samad were also present.

Decisions on the projects

The meeting decided that a tender for the construction of the Pishukan Link Road would be issued next week. Repair and restoration work on the Marine Drive road between Ankara Core and Shabi will begin immediately.

The PC-I, cost estimates and available resources of the projects were reviewed in detail. Keeping the available resources in view, the construction of the Pishukan Link Road was approved. The project also includes the beautification of the main square and the construction of a drainage line.

On the bridge on the Sarbandar Link Road, it was decided that the project’s PC-I would be rationalised and reviewed again. Construction will begin after that if funds are available.

The completion of these projects will give people in Pishukan, Sarbandar and other nearby areas better travel facilities. It will improve road infrastructure and help make travel easier and safer in Gwadar city and the surrounding areas.
