Fines imposed on Sui petrol pumps for overcharging and short measures

SUI: Assistant Commissioner Sui Syed Mansoor Ali Shah visited several petrol pumps in Sui Bazaar and reviewed the prices and measures of Petroleum Products. DSP Sui Azam Gishkori was also with him.

The Assistant Commissioner checked the measures for petrol and diesel and reviewed whether products were being sold at the fixed prices. Fines were imposed on pump owners who charged more than the fixed price or sold short measures.

He strictly directed the pump owners to keep their measures accurate and to sell Petroleum Products at the fixed rates. He made it clear that negligence or violation would not be tolerated. He said that in case of violation, legal action would be taken, including sealing the petrol pump concerned.
