Sibi commissioner Asadullah Faiz inaugurates polio drive by vaccinating children

SIBI: Sibi Division Commissioner Asadullah Faiz inaugurated the anti-polio campaign, starting on 21 September, by giving polio drops to children. Officials present on the occasion included Sibi Deputy Commissioner Major (retd) Ilyas Kabzai, the Divisional Director Health, Divisional Polio Officer Dr Ashraf and Sibi District Health Officer Dr Qadir Haroon.

The commissioner said the complete eradication of polio was a national responsibility. He asked all sections of society, including parents, to cooperate fully with the district administration and the Health Department teams. He directed that all children up to the age of five be given the drops and that no child be left without the vaccine.

The anti-polio campaign will continue from 21 to 24 September. The district administration appealed to parents to make sure their children are given the drops so that they remain safe from lifelong disability.
