Balochistan Revenue Authority issues notices to Quetta restaurants and cafes
QUETTA: A team of the Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) made field visits to several restaurants and cafes to review compliance with the applicable tax laws and the status of registration.
During the visits, notices were issued to the businesses concerned over registration and other legal and tax requirements. The management of the establishments was directed to complete their registration, file tax returns on time and fulfil their legal obligations.
Appeal to the business community
The Balochistan Revenue Authority urged the business community to follow the tax laws and play its part in increasing the province’s revenue and promoting a transparent tax system. The authority’s aim is to raise awareness among taxpayers, make the registration process easier and provide the necessary guidance and facilitation to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
According to the authority, further action may be taken under the existing law against establishments that still fail to meet legal requirements after the notices.
