Nine arrested for overcharging in Sariab, Satellite Town and Bhosa Mandi, Quetta

QUETTA: On the directive of Quetta Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini, Assistant Commissioner Sariab Captain (retd) Kabir Mazari took action in Satellite Town, Eastern Bypass and Bhosa Mandi against profiteers, overchargers and those not following Health and hygiene rules.

During the action, nine people were arrested for violating the official price list and selling goods at higher prices.

According to the district administration, action to enforce the official price list will continue. It said the preparation and sale of food items in violation of hygiene rules would not be allowed under any circumstances. Traders and shopkeepers were directed to sell quality goods according to the official price list, otherwise strict action would be taken.
