England tour: Pakistan to make changes for third Test after poor show

After the defeat in the Lord’s Test, team management and board officials held an important meeting at the hotel. They reviewed the current situation and considered emergency measures.
Sources said big changes in the national team are likely before the third Test. It has also been decided to summon more cricketers from Pakistan to England. Saim Ayub and Arafat Minhas have been called to England. Other players will be sent once they receive their visas.
Sources said it has also been decided to send Muhammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq back home. An inquiry into Imam-ul-Haq’s injury is likely, and a further decision on the matter is expected.
Meanwhile, for the third Test, Mickey Arthur’s successor is not named in the report; Mike Hesson will look after key matters of the team together with Sarfraz Ahmed. Notable changes are expected in the playing XI and strategy for the third Test.
Board officials expressed concern over the team’s performance in the Lord’s Test. They have decided to take immediate steps to improve the situation.
