NASEERABAD: A meeting to review ongoing development projects of the Communication and Works Department (Buildings) was held under the chairmanship of Naseerabad Division Commissioner Salahuddin Noorzai. Superintending Engineers Fida Hussain Khosa and Arsala Rind, Executive Engineers Muhammad Yaseen Chandio and Atiq-ur-Rehman, and Sub-Divisional Officers Zulfiqar Ali Lehri and Muhammad Younis Abro were among the officers who attended.

The officers gave a detailed briefing on projects under construction for education, health, livestock, police and other government offices and residences. The commissioner directed that special attention be paid to projects of the buildings sector. He said education and health projects in particular should be completed rapidly and to the set standard.

He said Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan were taking strong measures to improve the education and health sectors. He said construction progress and quality of these projects should therefore be closely monitored. He told the officers to stay in effective contact with the deputy commissioners concerned so that problems could be resolved in time and obstacles removed.

The commissioner said the construction of necessary and important blocks should be given top priority so that the public and institutions could benefit from these facilities soon. Construction of the other blocks should also continue on a priority basis and to the required standard. He directed that all public-interest government buildings under construction must also have ramps along with stairs, so that everyone, including persons with disabilities and elderly citizens, can access them easily.
