Makran Commissioner inaugurates futsal ground in Gwadar’s Baloch Ward

GWADAR: Makran Division Commissioner Dr Tufail Ahmed Baloch, during his two-day visit to Gwadar, inaugurated the futsal ground in Baloch Ward, completed under the BSDI (BSDI), along with Gwadar Deputy Commissioner Naqeebullah Kakar.

Gwadar Assistant Commissioner Romail Naeem Jan, officials of the district administration, footballers and people associated with sports attended the inauguration ceremony.

On the occasion, the Makran Commissioner met the players and asked about their problems and needs related to sports. He said sports played an important role in building a healthy society and promoting positive activities among young people. He said practical steps were therefore being taken to provide better sporting opportunities and necessary facilities to young people.

The Makran Commissioner later kicked the ball with the players to formally start the match. Along with Gwadar Deputy Commissioner Naqeebullah Kakar and district officials, he also watched the football match and praised the players’ performance. At the inauguration, he also announced a monthly stipend for Hafsa Nisar, a player who has played at international level.

The Makran Commissioner expressed the resolve that available resources would be used to provide better sporting opportunities to young people, promote sports activities and bring local talent to the fore.
