KHUZDAR: An anti-polio campaign has formally begun in Khuzdar district. Deputy Commissioner Khuzdar Abdul Razzaq Sasoli inaugurated the drive by giving polio drops to children.

The campaign aims to vaccinate over 90,000 children under the age of five in the district. Polio teams will go door to door in different areas to administer the vaccine.

The Deputy Commissioner appealed to parents to make sure all children under five are given polio drops and to cooperate fully with the teams, as every dose of the vaccine is necessary to protect children from the crippling disease. He directed that no child be left unvaccinated and that the teams be effectively monitored in the field.

Political, social and tribal leaders also assured full support for the success of the campaign. They urged parents to have their children given the drops on time and play their part in making society free of polio.
