Task force for Gwadar land settlement; record to go to district administration within a week

GWADAR: An important meeting on settlement was held under the chairmanship of Makran Division Commissioner Dr Tufail Ahmed Baloch. Orders were issued on the settlement of land in various mouzas of Gwadar district, the completion of records and the transfer of records to the district administration.

The Commissioner Makran was given a detailed briefing on the settlement records and the matters still being completed. He was told that the process of completing land records of various mouzas was under way, and coordinated steps were being taken to finish it within the set time. The Commissioner Makran ordered that the settlement process under way in the mouzas be completed as soon as possible.

Special task force and a one-week deadline

The Commissioner Makran said a special task force was being formed to complete land settlement in Gwadar district on time. It would continuously monitor progress and deal with pending matters on a priority basis.

He directed that the records of mouzas where settlement had been completed be handed over to the district administration within the next week, so that the land records could be formally secured and made part of the relevant department’s records.

The Commissioner Makran said additional staff would be provided where needed, so that the land records could be completed as soon as possible and made accurate and reliable. He made it clear that the Commissioner’s Office would provide every possible help in resolving administrative and other issues faced in the settlement process.

He directed officers to complete all work on a priority basis, ensuring that the set targets were met and that records were accurate and transferred on time. The Commissioner Makran warned that staff who had not cooperated in the settlement process or had shown negligence would face action under the law and be dismissed from service.

Deputy Commissioner Gwadar Naqeebullah Kakar, Settlement Officer Makran Division Zahid Lango, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Gwadar Zahoor Baloch, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Gwadar Dr Abdul Shakoor, Tehsildar Settlement Gwadar Akbar Baloch and other officers and staff of the Revenue and Settlement Department attended the meeting.
