Dialysis service starts at DHQ Hospital Ziarat; DC inaugurates machine

ZIARAT: The Balochistan health department has installed a dialysis machine at the District Headquarters Hospital in Ziarat and formally started the service. Ziarat Deputy Commissioner Abdul Quddus Achakzai inaugurated the machine. District Health Officer Dr Rafiq Mastoi, Medical Superintendent Shamsullah, health department officials and other authorities were also present.
The step has been taken in line with the vision of the Chief Minister of Balochistan. Provincial Minister for Food Haji Noor Muhammad Khan Dumar had also inaugurated the provision of the dialysis machine and the start of the facility a few days earlier.
Deputy Commissioner Abdul Quddus Achakzai said the local dialysis facility was an important medical service for kidney patients in Ziarat and surrounding areas. He said they would now have less need to travel to Quetta and other cities for treatment. He said that previously patients had to go to distant areas for dialysis and faced travel costs, loss of time and other difficulties.
He said improving public health facilities and providing quality medical services were among the district administration’s priorities, and every possible step was being taken to provide modern facilities in government hospitals. He directed that the dialysis service be kept running effectively and that patients be given timely, quality and necessary medical care.
Public circles called the step by the Balochistan government, the health department and the Ziarat district administration important. They expressed hope that the people of the district would be given more modern and quality medical facilities in future too.
