PTI’s next course to be decided at parliamentary party meeting on 27 October: Ali Zafar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator and Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Ali Zafar has said that the authority to take all decisions on the party’s next course of action has been given to the parliamentary party. According to him, the parliamentary party meeting on 27 October will decide whether to take the path of talks or to resume protests.
Ali Zafar said this in a message on the social media website X. He said the meeting would also decide important matters, including access to the PTI founder, the release of women and medical treatment. The party’s future strategy would also be set at the same meeting.
According to ARY News, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan had earlier denied reports that the party’s core committee and political committee had been removed from decision-making. In an exclusive conversation with ARY News, he called the reports baseless and misleading. He said no meeting had been held to bypass the two committees.
According to Barrister Gohar, the core committee, the political committee and the parliamentary party are separate bodies of the party. He said all the party’s decisions were being taken by the core committee and the political committee. He said the proposals of the two committees were placed before the parliamentary party, where the views given by members of parliament were also considered.
