ZIARAT: A meeting on correcting the dates of birth of government employees in the SAP (Systems, Applications and Products) records was held under the chairmanship of Ziarat Deputy Commissioner Abdul Quddus Achakzai. Ziarat Superintendent of Police Abdul Malik Durrani, Ziarat Assistant Commissioner Habib-ur-Rehman Kakar, District Accounts Officer Abdul Naeem Panezai, Deputy District Education Officer Naqeebullah Kakar and other officers concerned attended.

The meeting reviewed the accuracy and correction of dates of birth entered in the SAP records, along with the applications and cases received in this regard. It considered how application forms, supporting documents and official records should be checked. The role and responsibilities of the District Accounts Office were also discussed. The meeting stressed that all departments should work under a coordinated strategy to keep service records accurate, complete and transparent.

The Deputy Commissioner directed that all cases relating to dates of birth be examined fully and impartially, and that action be taken under the rules only after the documents were formally verified. He said the accuracy, transparency and timely verification of official records were a basic requirement of effective administration. He said merit, transparency and documentary proof must be given primary importance in matters relating to employees’ records, so that no error, ambiguity or contradiction remained in the official record.
