11 arrested in Quetta Saddar sub-division for selling flour above official price

QUETTA: On the orders of Quetta Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini, action was taken against the sale of flour above the official price in different areas of Saddar sub-division, under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Saddar Quetta Muhammad Yousuf Hashmi.

During the action, flour dealers, retailers and various shops were inspected and official price lists were checked. Eleven people were arrested for selling flour at higher prices and violating the official price list.

The district administration directed traders to display the official price list prominently and to sell all essential items, including flour, at the fixed rates. It made clear that, in view of public complaints, action against profiteering, artificial Inflation and exploitation of consumers would continue without discrimination.
