Quetta polio drive: Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini chairs review on fourth day

QUETTA: The evening review meeting for the fourth day of the anti-polio campaign was held under the chairmanship of Quetta Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini. Members of the National EOC, the DHO Quetta, district monitors, concerned officers and other officials attended.

The meeting reviewed the overall progress of the ongoing polio campaign in detail. Participants were given a detailed briefing on door-to-door coverage, school coverage, refusals, non-accessible (NA) areas, still non-accessible (Still NA) areas, the situation in clusters, vaccination coverage of children in schools and the difficulties faced during the campaign.

Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini directed all assistant commissioners and concerned officers to ensure effective daily follow-up and coverage of refusal cases. He also directed that all available resources be used to reach non-accessible areas.

He stressed that in the last days of the campaign, teams should work harder and ensure effective monitoring and a coordinated strategy so that the polio vaccine reaches every child and no child is left without the protective drops.
