Naseerabad committee reviews BSDI Phase II projects

NASEERABAD: An important meeting of the District Development Committee (DDC) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Naseerabad Virender Lal. It reviewed in detail the development projects under way across the district.

Officers of the departments concerned attended, including the Executive Engineer Buildings, the Executive Engineer Public Health Engineering (PHE), the Executive Engineer Roads, the Executive Engineer Irrigation and the Assistant Director Local Government.

The meeting was given a detailed briefing on the progress of the development projects under BSDI Phase II, the problems faced, the use of funds and the timely completion of the projects. The officers outlined the present state of the projects in their sectors, the quality of construction and the steps being taken to resolve problems faced by the public.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Virender Lal said the Balochistan government was using all available resources to provide basic facilities to the people. He said the development projects under way in this regard were of great importance.

He directed all officers concerned to perform their professional duties properly and to take every possible step to complete the projects on time and to a good standard. He stressed that transparency, quality and speed must be maintained in the development projects, and that no negligence or delay would be tolerated.

The Deputy Commissioner said the completion of projects in the public interest would not only help develop the area but also further strengthen people’s trust in government measures.
