LORALAI: Action was taken against illegal water connections on Quetta Road on the directions of Loralai Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Muhammad Haseeb Shuja. It was led by Loralai Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Zaib. Officials and staff of the district administration and the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department took part.

During the operation, several illegal connections were disconnected at different points on Quetta Road. An excavator was also used to remove illegally laid pipelines and connections in hard-to-reach places.

Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Zaib said that taking illegal connections from government water lines was not only a violation of the law but also caused difficulties in supplying water to citizens. He directed that illegal connections be identified and action against them made more effective.

The administration and PHE officials made it clear that the operations would continue without discrimination to ensure fair and uninterrupted water supply in the city. They said legal action would be taken against those who tampered with or damaged government water supply lines.

The district administration appealed to citizens to avoid illegal connections, not to damage government lines and to use water responsibly. It said water was a basic public need and its fair distribution was a key priority of the administration.
