Khuzdar commissioner opens sports festival week at Divisional Public School

KHUZDAR: Khuzdar Division Commissioner Qadir Bakhsh Parkani formally inaugurated the Sports Festival Week at the Divisional Public School, Khuzdar, by cutting the ribbon. He was accompanied by Khuzdar Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razzaq Sasoli and Khuzdar Additional Deputy Commissioner Rehmat Baloch.

At the sports festival, boys and girls presented tug of war, colourful tableaux, stage shows and various other programmes. Stalls selling food and drink, books and other items were also set up at the festival.

Commissioner’s address

Addressing the children, notable citizens and officers of other departments, Commissioner Qadir Bakhsh Parkani said the schoolchildren had presented very good programmes. He said he congratulated them from the bottom of his heart for taking an active part in the programme.

He said the children had shown in practice that, compared with all the schools of Balochistan, especially Quetta, the boys and girls of the Divisional Public School lacked no talent. He said, God willing, special attention would be paid to the school’s children and the name of the DPS would be made shine across Balochistan.

He said this school in Khuzdar would be taken to a level where it would be “our Beaconhouse” and “our City School”, and it would be brought on a par with them. He said everyone had seen in the short time how well the schoolchildren had presented their programmes and taken part. He said the school would be taken far ahead because it was the future of Khuzdar and Balochistan.

He said that in the land of green Balochistan, there was no lack of talent among boys and girls.

At the end, he presented the trophy to the captain of the winning football team of the sports festival. He also announced Rs500,000 for the festival committee for organising an excellent sports festival.
