Kharan literary body’s delegation meets Additional Commissioner Rakhshan Zafar Goya

KHARAN: A delegation of Naseer Kabdani Lebzanki Diwan Kharan met Additional Commissioner Rakhshan Division Zafar Goya in his office. The purpose of the meeting was to congratulate him on his posting in Kharan and to discuss ways of making the literary and educational environment in the area more active.

The delegation was led by General Secretary Shakoor Zaid. The other members were Vice President Safar Khan Raskoi, Qayyum Sadag, Habib Danish, Jalal Firaq, Muhammad Essa Muhammad Hasni, Shahzad Saleem, Mahmood Pirak and Najeeb Baloch.

The delegation expressed the hope that Zafar Goya’s posting would give new momentum to the promotion of knowledge, literature, language and culture in Kharan. It also hoped that positive steps would be taken at the government level to encourage writers, poets and columnists. The delegation also formally invited him to visit the Naseer Kabdani Lebzanki Diwan Academy Kharan.

Thanking the delegation, Additional Commissioner Zafar Goya said literary and cultural activities safeguard the positive values of any society. He said every possible support would be provided for the promotion of the local language and literature. At the meeting, a set of quality books published by the Lebzanki Diwan was presented to him as a gift.
