Information ministry rejects claim of action against Iran from Pakistani soil

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has rejected as baseless and fabricated a claim of US military action against Iran from Pakistani soil.

According to the ministry, a social media account based in North America claimed that the US Navy had taken action against Iran from Pakistan. The ministry said the claim was entirely baseless.

In its statement, the Ministry of Information said that spreading such false claims was part of a wider agenda to fuel misunderstanding and chaos.

The ministry said such social media posts did not deserve the attention of any serious observer. It said these baseless reports should be treated as propaganda and dealt with in the same manner.
