Large-scale tree planting and green belt restoration under way in Gwadar

GWADAR: Under the Balochistan government’s policy of improving the environment, promoting tree planting and making urban areas green and attractive, large-scale tree planting, restoration of green belts and greening work is under way in the city under the supervision of the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA).

On the directions of GDA Director General Moinur Rehman Khan, plants and green areas on the medians of various city roads, in green belts, at coastal sites, in public places and on sports grounds are being regularly tended under the supervision of Horticulture Officer Hamal Dashti.

The aim of these measures is to promote Gwadar not only as a modern city of development but also as a clean, green, attractive and environment-friendly city.
