GWADAR: Deputy Commissioner Gwadar Naqeebullah Kakar acted immediately on complaints from citizens about repeated disruption and weak signals in mobile signals, voice calls and internet services. He sent a letter to the PTA, PTCL and all cellular companies.

A meeting was then held between the PTA technical team and representatives of all the companies, including Ufone, Zong, Jazz and Telenor. It reviewed the current state of services and the difficulties faced by citizens. The companies were directed to provide complete technical data on their towers, service coverage, active and inactive sites and subscribers.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed that public complaints should be resolved on a priority basis. He said the speed, quality and continuity of mobile and internet services should be improved and technical faults permanently removed. This, he said, would ensure that the citizens of Gwadar have reliable communication facilities for contacts, business, freelancing, online education, banking and digital payments. Further practical steps will be decided at the next meeting on the basis of the data provided.
