DERA BUGTI: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has announced the approval of all divisional posts for the Koh-e-Suleman Division. He was addressing an important press conference in northern Dera Bugti.

He said officers and staff would be posted soon. This, he said, would make the administrative affairs of the division functional and ensure that government services reach the people.

Administrative units and development projects

The Chief Minister said smaller administrative units were essential to give people easy access to government institutions and to make administration more effective. He said development work had begun to make Rakhni a model division of Balochistan.

He said transparency, quality and merit would be ensured in all development projects at any cost.

Law and order

Sarfraz Bugti praised the timely action of the security forces in foiling a terrorist attack in Gwadar. He said the sacrifices and courageous actions of the Pakistan Army, the Frontier Corps and the police in the war against terrorism were a matter of pride.

He said the security institutions’ actions against anti-state elements were commendable. He added that all the institutions concerned were performing their duties to establish law and order.

The Chief Minister further said the decline in the trend of terrorist incidents in Balochistan since August was a positive development, which had raised hopes of improvement in the law and order situation. He said the government would continue its efforts for lasting peace in the province, the provision of basic facilities to the people and faster development work.
