Qila Abdullah DC Munir Hussain Mughal reviews joint operation against cannabis

QILA ABDULLAH: Deputy Commissioner Munawar Hussain Magsi visited different areas of the district with Chaman Scouts Brigadier Zahrar and District Police Officer Khalil Ahmed Bugti. He reviewed in detail the ongoing operation against illegal cannabis cultivation.

On the occasion, tractors and modern machinery were used to destroy the cannabis crop grown in various areas. Officials of the district administration, police and other concerned departments took part jointly.

During the visit, Deputy Commissioner Munawar Hussain Magsi gave Brigadier Zahrar and DPO Khalil Ahmed Bugti a detailed briefing on the ongoing operation, the action taken so far, the Law and Order situation and other administrative matters. He also met the personnel engaged in the operation. He reviewed the practical steps and progress made to end cannabis cultivation.

The officials concerned expressed their resolve that joint action would continue more effectively to end illegal cannabis cultivation in Qila Abdullah district completely, curb drugs and ensure the rule of law. The district administration and police will not tolerate any negligence or lapse in this regard.
