Bugti: Doors open to talks within Constitution, no compromise on state’s integrity

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that Pakistan and Balochistan are inseparable and that this bond will last until the Day of Judgement. He said there can be no compromise on the integrity, sovereignty and national security of the state, but the government’s doors are open for every kind of talks within the framework of the Constitution of Pakistan.
He was addressing the participants of the 20th National Workshop Balochistan. The Chief Minister said violence, anti-state propaganda spread on Social Media and the “illegitimate voices” of terrorists were promoting hatred and chaos against the state. He said organised plots were being hatched through these tactics to weaken and divide Pakistan, and they would be foiled at all costs.
The problem is not development but a particular mindset
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that calling unbalanced development the main cause of violence and Terrorism was contrary to the facts. He asked whether the so-called movements had ended in areas such as Turbat and many other parts of Balochistan, which are far more developed today. He said this showed that the problem was not development but a particular mindset.
He said the aim of anti-state elements was not the progress, prosperity or an end to the backwardness of the people, but to impose their ideology at gunpoint. He said such elements wanted to cut Pakistan into pieces like a cake, but the nation and the state would never let their evil designs succeed.
The Chief Minister said that if anyone thought of breaking up Pakistan or harming its integrity, there could be no talks on such a mindset. He said the state comes before everything and there can be no compromise on national security. He vowed that he would not hesitate to lay down his life for the defence, stability and survival of Pakistan.
He said there could be complaints and concerns about governance, administrative matters and public services, and the government was taking serious steps to address them. However, he said, there could be no compromise on the security and unity of the state.
Government recruitment through Artificial Intelligence
The Chief Minister Balochistan said the confidence of the youth could be restored only through a transparent, impartial and merit-based system. He said the government would use modern Technology and Artificial Intelligence to make the recruitment process for government jobs fully transparent, impartial and merit-based, so that every eligible candidate gets equal opportunities without discrimination.
At the end of the workshop, the Chief Minister also gave detailed and reasoned answers to the participants’ questions. The question-and-answer session lasted more than two and a half hours.
