BARSHORE: An important meeting of the District Development Committee (DDC) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Barshore Flight Lieutenant (retd) Khalid Shams. District officers of all departments attended.

The meeting formally approved several welfare and construction schemes for the newly created district of Barshore under the Balochistan Special Development Initiative (BSDI) III. The meeting held a detailed discussion on restoring basic infrastructure to end the backwardness of the new district and bring it on a par with other Districts.

Deputy Commissioner Khalid Shams said that under BSDI Phase III, clean drinking water, Education and Health would be given top priority in the district. He directed that schemes to restore government schools and improve medical facilities at Basic Health Units (BHUs) in remote, backward areas and union councils be started at once.

Flight Lieutenant (retd) Khalid Shams instructed officers of all departments concerned that there would be no compromise on the quality of work and that all schemes must be completed within the set time.
