Trump says US will win war with Iran, with or without a deal

Asked whether a deal with Iran was likely or whether more troops would be sent to the region, United States President Donald Trump said the United States would either make a good deal or make no deal at all.

Trump claimed that the United States moves ships out of the Strait of Hormuz at night because Iran does not find out. He said Iran’s radars had been destroyed.

He said inflation in Iran was 300 per cent and its economy was at a level it had never seen before. He said the United States would win this war, whether through a deal or not.

Trump said Iran wanted a deal but, in his view, it was not yet ready. He said the United States had ended Tehran’s ability to build nuclear missiles. He said that had the United States not attacked Iran, it would have succeeded in building a nuclear bomb and would have used nuclear weapons very easily.

He said Iran was in a very weak position at present and the United States controlled the Strait of Hormuz.

Earlier, on the previous day, United States President Donald Trump had said he hoped the ongoing war in Iran was moving towards its end.
