Quetta DC Mehrullah Badini chairs post-campaign review of anti-polio drive

QUETTA: A post-campaign review meeting on the performance of the anti-polio campaign was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini. The District Health Officer Quetta, polio officials and other concerned officers attended.

The meeting reviewed in detail the performance of the recent polio campaign, ES isolation, MPQA, LQAS, coverage of zero-dose children, problems faced by polio teams and shipping, among other important matters. The officials concerned gave briefings.

The Deputy Commissioner pointed out the problems and shortcomings that emerged during the campaign. He directed that effective steps be ensured to address them in the next campaign. He also stressed making access to zero-dose children, team performance and the monitoring system more effective.

The meeting agreed to further improve coordination and joint efforts among the district administration, the health department and the polio programme for the complete eradication of polio.
