Messi scores twice in four minutes as Inter Miami beat Atlanta United 3-1

MIAMI: Inter Miami beat Atlanta United to win their third consecutive Major League Soccer match, thanks to a brilliant performance from Lionel Messi, who scored two goals within four minutes.
Messi won over the fans once again at the same Atlanta stadium where, in July, he helped Argentina beat England in the World Cup semi-final.
In the 56th minute, Messi received a pass from Germán Berterame, beat the Atlanta defence and scored a superb left-footed goal to make it 2-0.
In the 60th minute, Messi took a pass from Luis Suárez, got past Junior Alonso and beat Atlanta goalkeeper Lucas Hoyos to score his second and the team’s third goal.
After his emotional farewell from the Argentina team, Messi now has four goals in three matches.
The 39-year-old superstar is top of the MLS top scorers’ list with 25 goals.
