KARACHI: Pakistani actress and filmmaker Hareem Farooq has responded to criticism and trolling on Social Media. She said she decided about 10 years ago that she would not let what others say affect her life.

In a recent interview, she said people who criticise and troll will always find something to target, so there is no use constantly thinking about their comments. According to her, it is better to focus on her work and life than to waste time on such remarks.

Hareem Farooq said she prefers not to read comments made about her on Social Media and keeps her attention on moving forward. She made it clear that her priority is her work, not the opinions of others.

Hareem Farooq is currently busy promoting her new Punjabi film “Mango Jatt”, in which actor Faisal Qureshi also appears. According to Daily Times, she has attended various events to promote the film. During the promotion, her clothes and different styles drew debate on Social Media, after which she took this position.

Her stance is linked to the wider debate on the personal choices and appearance of Showbiz personalities, and the effects of criticism on Social Media.
