Arrest warrants issued for Dania Shah in Aamir Liaquat videos case

KARACHI: A court of the Judicial Magistrate East issued non-bailable arrest warrants for the accused, Dania Shah, in the case of making videos of the late anchor Aamir Liaquat viral.

The court ordered that she be arrested and produced before it, as she failed to appear.

During the hearing, the accused’s lawyer filed an application seeking exemption from appearance. The court rejected the application after the complainant’s lawyer objected to it.

According to a private television channel, the court adjourned further hearing of the case until 28 October.

The Cyber Crime wing had registered the case against Dania Shah on the complaint of the late Aamir Liaquat’s daughter.
