Targeting worshippers at a place of worship is barbaric and inhumane: Hanif Abbasi

Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi said in a statement that targeting worshippers in a sacred place such as a mosque was a barbaric and inhumane act. He said the terrorists who played with innocent lives deserved no leniency. Such elements, he said, would never succeed in their vile designs to sabotage peace in Pakistan.

Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said the whole nation stood shoulder to shoulder with its brave security forces in the fight against the scourge of terrorism. He said the matchless sacrifices of the security forces for establishing law and order in the country could not be forgotten. The blood of the martyrs, he said, further strengthened the national resolve to eliminate terrorism completely.

He prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks, for patience for the bereaved families and for the early and complete recovery of those injured in the blast.

Expressing heartfelt solidarity with the bereaved families, the federal minister said the whole nation shared their grief in this hour of sorrow.
