Chaman DC Habib Ahmed Bangulzai reviews polio drive, orders coverage of missed children

CHAMAN: A review meeting was held after the recent polio campaign under the chairmanship of Chaman Deputy Commissioner Habib Ahmed Bangulzai. It reviewed the overall performance of the campaign, coverage of children, the performance of field teams, missed children and the problems faced. Officials of the health department and the polio programme attended the meeting and gave a detailed briefing on the campaign.

The Deputy Commissioner said the complete eradication of polio was among the district administration’s key priorities. He directed that all necessary steps be taken to ensure coverage of missed children, to monitor field teams effectively and to make future campaigns more effective.

He said the cooperation of parents, religious scholars, tribal elders and the public was essential to eradicate polio, and no child should be left without the polio vaccine.
