Opposition leader’s address
Leader of the Opposition Mahmood Khan Achakzai said that a province’s parliament had been attacked and the right to vote had been mocked.
He claimed that six, seven or eight members of the National Assembly were missing. He asked where the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was and whether he was alive.
Addressing the Speaker, he said, “You are the custodian of the House. It is your responsibility to issue production orders for members and to ensure their protection.”
Referring to protests against inflation in France, he said that millions of people had taken to the streets there, but not a single bullet had been fired so far. The session was later adjourned until Thursday.
