Ready to deal with protest in Islamabad, says Mohsin Naqvi

Addressing a press conference with Talal Chaudhry in the federal capital, Mohsin Naqvi said the detailed judgement of the Islamabad High Court had been issued.
He said no assault could be mounted after the court ruling. If anyone came to Islamabad, contempt of court proceedings would be initiated, he added.
The Interior Minister said he would request the leadership to protest in their own cities. No city could be shut down and no province could be attacked, he said. Terrorism was rising on one side, he added.
Mohsin Naqvi said it was being discussed on Social Media that people from particular tribes were coming. “We are carrying the funerals of martyrs, and these people are coming to protest,” he said.
He said a meeting on the law and order situation was held today. If as much effort were made against Terrorism as was being made for the long march, success would follow, he said.
The Interior Minister said the march towards Islamabad had to be stopped at all costs. He said there was a difference between political rallies, processions and armed groups.
Mohsin Naqvi said the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should focus on the war against Terrorism instead of the march. If even one life was lost, the organisers would be responsible, he said.
He said fighting and quarrelling would benefit no one and would harm them and the country. There were responsible people in the opposition, and he hoped they would review the decision, he said.
The Interior Minister said it did not befit them to carry the funerals of martyrs on one side and prepare sit-ins on the other. He said all forces had been told that they would be stopped by every possible means.
Mohsin Naqvi said no unrest would be allowed to spread under any circumstances. He said the personnel had been told that it would not happen that others fired and they sat silent. “I would advise that the court’s decision has been issued,” he said.
He said they should think about the state of the world at present. Weapons were used in the past, which caused the country great harm, he said.
