Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif arrives in China on four-day official visit

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif arrived at Urumqi World Airport, where senior Chinese officials and diplomats warmly welcomed the Punjab delegation.

Earlier, Chinese Consul General Sun Yan was present at the airport to see off Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on her departure for China.

Senior Chinese officials will receive the Punjab Chief Minister on her arrival at Urumqi World Airport. Maryam Nawaz Sharif will begin her engagements at the Kunlun Hall in the conference centre of the Xinjiang State Guest House.

A high-level delegation led by Chen Xiaojiang, Party Secretary of Xinjiang province, will meet Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

He Zhongyou, Deputy Party Secretary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional Committee, will meet Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. She will also hold an important meeting with a delegation of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC).

In addition, a dinner will be hosted in honour of Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the Punjab delegation by the Deputy Party Secretary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional Committee and the Party Secretary and Political Commissar, He Zhongyou.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif will stay at the Xinjiang State Guest House as a state guest of China.
