SWAT: The chairmen of the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Swat and Malakand met Malakand Division Commissioner Iqbal Hussain at the Commissioner’s Office in Saidu Sharif.

At the meeting, a detailed briefing was given on the administrative structure, examination system and ongoing reform programmes of both education boards.

Order to digitise

Commissioner Iqbal Hussain directed the heads of both boards to digitise all relevant records in order to modernise the examination system.

He said examination records, the appointment of examiners and other related matters should also be brought under a digital system to ensure transparency, merit and effective monitoring in the examination process.

For this purpose, he assigned the task to a software engineer, who will stay in contact with both education boards and work on the steps and technical requirements needed for digitisation.

The commissioner said the use of modern technology would help improve transparency and efficiency in the examination system, keep records secure and make administrative matters more effective.
