Danish School graduate Dr Alina’s speech moves PM Shehbaz Sharif to tears

ISLAMABAD: A speech by Dr Alina, a graduate of the Danish School, moved everyone to tears.

Dr Alina said that not having a father’s protection is a great deprivation, and that an orphan’s dreams often remain unfulfilled. She asked how a tailor’s daughter could dream of becoming a doctor. She said: “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, thank you for giving us a family and a home like the Danish School.”

She said the Prime Minister had played the role of a father in her life. New books, a new bag and new shoes had all brought her joy.

The Prime Minister was moved to tears as he listened to Dr Alina’s story. Dr Alina said: “Thank you, Prime Minister, for raising me from the dust and making me the crown on my family’s head. I have no words to thank you.”

The Prime Minister placed a hand on Dr Alina’s head and encouraged her.
