Front page. According to the joint statement, such provocative statements are a clear violation of international law and the principles of humanitarian law.

The foreign ministers rejected the displacement of the Palestinian people from their land under any plan. They said that turning such plans into practical steps to uproot Palestinians from their land would have serious consequences.

The statement said such steps clearly oppose ongoing international efforts to achieve peace. It said they also oppose President Donald Trump’s comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict. It added that the steps risk seriously damaging the prospects for stability in the region.

The Islamic countries said the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory. They said it is essential to maintain the unity of Palestinian land, comprising Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. They said the only way to lasting peace is to implement the two-state solution.

The foreign ministers of the eight countries, including Pakistan, demanded that the international community and the United Nations fulfil their responsibilities to end the suffering of Palestinians.
