Next KP chief minister will be backed by federal government, says Kamran Murtaza

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) leader Senator Kamran Murtaza has said the next chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be backed by the federal government.
Speaking to a private television channel, he claimed that one person had been broken away from the PTI and prepared to become the next chief minister.
He said Mahmood Khan Achakzai was the leader of the opposition and that “we respect him”. He added that Maulana Fazlur Rehman would not become the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly.
According to him, with the government’s consent and help, a forward bloc would be formed within the PTI in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, and matters would move forward through that bloc.
Kamran Murtaza said the solution to the problem lay in proceeding in a democratic manner. He said the PTI would remain and nobody had a problem with the PTI.
He said the JUI-F was struggling on its own programme for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, not on the programme of any other party.
Nobody objects to the end of terrorism. According to him, it should end, and people’s lives, property and honour should be protected. He said the end of terrorism should not remain limited to announcements.
