Dialogue and diplomacy only workable way to resolve US-Iran dispute, says China

A spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, speaking to journalists in Beijing, said dialogue is the only workable way out of the current tensions over Iran.

Referring to fresh economic sanctions imposed on Iran by the United States, the spokesperson said China opposes illegal and unilateral sanctions.

He said China’s position on Iran is clear and consistent. He added that all parties should seek a solution through dialogue and diplomacy to end the tensions.
