Judicial reforms cannot succeed without bench and bar cooperation, says Chief Justice

Addressing a ceremony at the Balochistan High Court, Justice Yahya Afridi said the judicial system must be centred on the needs of citizens rather than on the courts alone. Litigants should not face unnecessary hardship in seeking justice from judicial institutions.
He said Technology is a means, while justice is the real aim. Technology in the judicial system should be used to make the delivery of justice easier and more effective.
The Chief Justice said judicial reforms cannot succeed without mutual cooperation between the bench and the bar. All concerned parties must work together for reforms.
He added that justice continues to be delivered in the remote areas of Balochistan despite limited resources and security challenges. Providing timely and easy justice to the public is the basic responsibility of the judiciary.
