Lasbela Deputy Commissioner Chairs EPI Task Force Meeting on Vaccination Drive

LASBELA: A key meeting of the EPI (Expanded Programme on Immunization) Task Force Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Lasbela, Humaira Baloch, in the meeting room of the DC Office.

The meeting reviewed polio and other vaccine-preventable disease immunisation efforts and conducted a detailed assessment of the EPI programme’s monthly performance.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Lasbela Siraj Ahmed Baloch, District Health Officer (DHO) Syed Farid Ullah Shah Hashmi, Deputy DHO Dr Waqar, NSTOP Officer Dr Nazir Ahmed Ronjho, District Manager PPHI Lasbela Dr Rawal Kumar, Dr Abdul Hakeem Lasi, and other relevant health department officials attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the monthly performance report of the EPI programme was presented, and the Deputy Commissioner was given a detailed briefing.

Issuing directives on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Humaira Baloch said the process of providing vaccinations to children should be made more effective so that no child in the district is left without this essential immunisation. She directed all concerned institutions to promote mutual cooperation and said close supervision should be carried out to improve the performance of field workers.
