QUETTA: Preparations for Independence Day are in full swing in the provincial capital on the special directives of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini. To paint the city in the national colours, the district administration is decorating roads, main squares, government buildings and prominent places with lights, green crescent flags and national flags.

Lights and illuminations in different parts of Quetta have drawn the attention of citizens, while the display of national flags on main roads and intersections has added to the beauty of the city. At night, the roads decked with lights and flags are highlighting the spirit of Independence Day.

According to the district administration, decoration work is being completed rapidly so that the celebrations can be held in a fitting manner. National flags, bunting and Independence Day banners are being put up at various places. The main entry and exit routes of the city and the central roads are also being decorated.
