QUETTA (Itemad News) – A meeting was held to review the performance on the fourth day of the anti-polio campaign, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini. Relevant officials attended the meeting and presented reports on the overall progress of the campaign, zero-dose children, refusing parents and coverage of missed children.

The primary aim of the anti-polio campaign is to ensure that every child receives polio vaccine drops. Zero-dose children refer to those who have not yet been given polio drops, while refusing parents are those who decline to have their children vaccinated. Reaching such children and households is considered essential for the success of the campaign, which is why the meeting paid particular attention to their coverage.

Deputy Commissioner Mehrullah Badini directed that all teams perform their duties with full dedication, hard work and responsibility on the final day of the campaign tomorrow. He said that house-to-house access should be ensured, all refusing parents should be covered, and no child should be left without polio drops.

Issuing clear instructions, he said that 100 per cent coverage must be ensured on the last day of the campaign without fail. According to him, all relevant officials should remain in the field and monitoring should be made more effective so that there is no chance of any area or child being missed.

The meeting makes clear that the district administration is giving special attention to the final stage of the campaign. Future measures are being decided on the basis of reports on zero-dose children and refusing parents, so that no child in the city is deprived of this protective vaccine.
