QUETTA: A high-level representative delegation of All Parties Musakhel met Chief Minister Balochistan and Chief of Bugti Mir Sarfraz Bugti. The delegation was led by Chief of Ghurshin Sardar Syed Asad Zaman Ghurshin.

The delegation included former Deputy Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly Sardar Babar Khan Musakhel, former Provincial Minister Maulana Ghulam Sarwar, representatives of Union Council Indarpar and Union Council Rarasham, and various tribal elders and political leaders.

The delegation briefed the Chief Minister in detail on the public, administrative and development problems facing Musakhel district. It presented proposals on the district’s development, provision of basic facilities, improvement of communication infrastructure and other public welfare projects.

Bringing backward districts into the mainstream of development is top priority

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti listened closely to the delegation’s proposals and recommendations. He assured it that the Balochistan government is following a vision of equal and balanced development in all districts of the province. He said development projects were being made more effective and better matched to public needs through continued consultation with public representatives, tribal elders and local leaders, so that people in remote and backward areas could also benefit fully from development.

The Chief Minister said the government’s first priority was to bring the backward districts of Balochistan into the national mainstream of development. He said the development of all backward areas would be ensured in phases, making effective use of available resources. He said a special development package had been given to Washuk district in the last financial year, while this year the government’s special attention would be on the development and welfare of Musakhel, along with other backward districts of the province.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti said all the tribes and people of Balochistan were “our own”. He said the government was continuing to take practical steps, without discrimination, for the development and prosperity of every area and for better living standards for the people. He reaffirmed that no district or area of the province would be left behind in the journey of development.

Provincial Minister for Home Affairs Mir Ziaullah Langove, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Imran Zarkoon and Staff Officer Syed Ahmed Shah Ghurshin were also present at the meeting.
