LORALAI: A meeting of executive engineers was held under the chairmanship of Loralai Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Muhammad Haseeb Shuja to review the development schemes under way under the Balochistan Special Development Initiative (BSDI) and the tendering process for upcoming projects. The meeting reviewed in detail the progress on each project, the pace of work, construction quality and the stages of tendering.

The executive engineers briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the status of ongoing projects and the tenders for upcoming schemes. The Deputy Commissioner directed that work on ongoing projects be speeded up further, that all schemes be completed within the set time, and that quality and technical requirements be fully observed.

He directed that all stages of tendering be completed on time, in line with the rules and a transparent procedure, so that there was no unnecessary delay in starting the projects. The Deputy Commissioner said in clear terms that poor performance, unnecessary delay and slow progress would not be tolerated. He said the officers and staff responsible would be identified and action would be taken against them under the rules.

He said BSDI projects were directly linked to public welfare and the improvement of basic facilities. Their timely completion, transparent implementation and quality monitoring were therefore the primary responsibility of the departments concerned.
