TURBAT: A meeting of managers of various banks operating in Kech district was held under the chair of Deputy Commissioner Kech Yasir Iqbal Dashti. The meeting discussed in detail how banks’ CSR funds could be used effectively and in an organised manner for public welfare, health, education and better civic facilities.

The meeting discussed the banks’ support, under CSR funds, for providing 300 street lights in Turbat city and other important places, repairing and restoring ambulances, providing essential facilities at the Civil Hospital, improving the education sector and installing street lights in Turbat Bazaar.

The Deputy Commissioner said the district administration’s basic aim was to give the public the most facilities possible with the available resources. He said the banking sector could play an important role in the development of society, so banks should spend their CSR funds on real public welfare projects and cooperate fully with the district administration. He said joint efforts could bring marked improvement in health, education and basic civic facilities. He said the administration’s priority was not just planning but giving quick and lasting relief through practical steps.
