Third-phase hearing on illegal occupation in Gwadar New Town; parties given one week

GWADAR: The third-phase hearing on illegal occupation, encroachments and original allottees in New Town was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Naqeebullah Kakar. Project Director New Town Dr Abdul Shakoor, naib tehsildars and officials concerned attended.

Three cases were reviewed during the hearing and the parties’ positions were heard in detail. The Deputy Commissioner gave the parties one week to resolve matters through mutual understanding and in line with legal requirements. He directed the officials concerned to cooperate.

The Deputy Commissioner said protecting the rights of original allottees, ending illegal occupation and encroachments, and resolving land matters lawfully and transparently were among the district administration’s priorities. If the matter is not resolved with mutual consent within the given period, action will be taken according to the law.
